Asistencia en Persona para el FAFSA

Financial Aid Officers will be helping students to submit the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Los funcionarios de ayuda financiera ayudarán a los estudiantes a presentar la FAFSA.

Need money to attend college next year? Financial Aid Officers from Northern Virginia Community College’s Manassas Campus will be visiting Manassas City Library to provide in-person assistance and answer questions about submitting your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 school year.

In order to receive assistance, you must provide the following items. Be sure to read the list carefully.

 If you are a dependent student, you will need: 

-Personal laptop & charger (Public computers will be available in limited supply).

-USB
-Your and your parents’ FSA IDs. To create one, go to StudentAid.gov and click on “Create Account.”
-Your and your parents’ social security numbers (SSN)(if applicable).
-Your and your parents’ 2023 W-2 forms and other records of money earned.
-Your and your parents’ 2023 federal income tax returns, if filed, including all applicable schedules.
-Your and your parents’ current bank statements.
-Your and your parents’ current business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, and stock, bond, and other investment records (if applicable).
-Your Permanent Resident Card (Form I-151 or I-551C) or Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) with an eligible status (if you are an eligible non-U.S. citizen) which will show your immigration A number.

-It is strongly recommended both parents (if married) attend the event. 

If you are not a dependent student, you will need:

-Personal laptop & charger (Public computers will be available in limited supply).

-Your FSA ID. To create one, go to StudentAid.gov and click on “Create Account.” If you are married but you and your spouse file separate tax returns, or if either you or your spouse did not file taxes, your spouse will also need an FSA ID.
-Your social security number(SSN)(if applicable).
-Your (and if married, your spouse’s) 2023 federal income tax return (including all applicable schedules), 2023 W-2 forms, and other records of money earned.
-Your current bank statements.
-Your current business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, and stock, bond, and other investment records (if applicable).
-Your Permanent Resident Card (Form I-151 or I-551C) or Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) with an eligible status (if you are an eligible non-U.S. citizen) which will show your immigration A number (if applicable).

-It is strongly recommended your spouse (if married) attend the event.
 

If you have a question regarding which documents are needed to complete the FAFSA, be sure to visit StudentAid.gov. 

Registration is not required.

Si no es estudiante dependiente, necesitará:

- Su nombre de usuario de FSA. Para crear uno, vaya a StudentAid.gov y haga clic en "Crear cuenta". Si está casado, pero presentó declaraciones de impuestos por separado,o si usted o su cónyuge no declararon impuestos, su cónyuge también necesitará nombre de usuario FSA.
- Su número de seguro social (SSN)(si corresponde).
- Su declaración de impuestos federales sobre la renta de 2023(incluidos todos los anexos que corresponda), los formularios W-2 de 2023 y otros registros de ingresos (Si está casado también incluya los de su cónyuge).
- Sus extractos bancarios actuales.
- Su información actual sobre hipotecas comerciales y de inversión, registros comerciales y agrícolas, registros de acciones, bonos y otros registros de inversiones (si corresponde).

No es necesario registrarse.
