Would you like to to learn to knit or crochet? Want encouragement to finish (or let's be real, start) that yarn project that's been staring at you from a project bag for months? Join our learning circle at Independent Hill! No experience necessary--Learning Circles are meant for learning in a group, so just bring a positive attitude and be ready to have some fun! Experienced yarnsters, feel free to jump in to show off your skill to newcomers! 

Crochet hooks, knitting needles, and yarn provided! Registration requested but not required.

The Learning Circle will need to come to an end by 11:30 on the first and third Saturdays of the month, to accommodate programs taking place shortly after.

About the library

Independent Hill Library was the sixth library. With its mid-county location, Independent Hill is a bridge that serves both the eastern and western ends of the county. Nestled inside George Hellwig Park, the library’s pastoral setting includes a pavilion with seating and free Wi-Fi access. 

The library's collection consists of books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers and learning tablets for all ages and interests. Independent Hill offers two public access computers, scanning, copying, and faxing services. There are several comfortable chairs with laptop trays and two study tables with chairs for patron’s convenience. Story times are offered throughout the year.
