10:05–10:50 a.m.: Prince William Police Department (Community Room)
The Department is a nationally accredited law enforcement agency providing professional police service to the residents, business owners, and visitors in Prince William County. With an authorized strength of over 700 sworn officers, the Department is comprised of four divisions and 14 bureaus, including patrol and investigative services, specialty units, and support resources.
11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.: Ident-a-Child with the Prince William County Sheriff's Department (Children's Area)
Prince William County Sheriff's Office will produce a plastic ID card with your child's photo and measurements. This card could be the key to assisting law enforcement agencies if a child ever goes missing. For the children, the process of producing the card offers a fun and positive experience interacting with law enforcement officers. To protect the privacy of the family, none of the information is retained by the Sheriff's Office.
11:00–11:45 a.m.: ATF Canine Training Facility (Community Room)
Through its Canine Training Center, ATF’s National Canine Division trains explosives and accelerant detection canines for local, state, federal and international law enforcement, fire investigation agencies and the military. In this session, learn about the ATF's Canine Division and meet and greet with ATF Special Agent Canine handler (SACH) SACH Program Manager Dan Kerwin and his K-9 partner Annie.
12:00–1:00 p.m.: Meet the Author: Bruce Goldfarb (Community Room)
Bruce Goldfarb is an award-winning writer whose work has appeared in the Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, USA Today, Baltimore magazine, American Archaeology, American Health and many other publications. For ten years, Bruce has served as executive assistant to the Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Maryland. He was public information officer for the OCME and curator of the Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death. His first book of popular nonfiction, 18 Tiny Deaths, was released by Sourcebooks in February, 2020. Bruce’s latest book, OCME, was released by Steerforth Press in February 2023.

Be part of a live recording of true crime podcast, “Mind over Murder,” with hosts Bill Thomas and Kristin Dilley.
The Mind Over Murder true crime podcast grew out of Bill Thomas and Kristin Dilley's goal of building on their advocacy in the Colonial Parkway Murders. Each week, they interview top true crime experts and discuss unsolved cases and how to move those cases forward. Their highly engaged podcast audience adds tips and questions to the discussion.
Montclair Library serves a bustling suburban community in eastern Prince William County. With large glass windows and a stone terrace suited for outdoor performances, the LEED-certified building offers inviting spaces for children, young adults, and adults, including 22 public access computers, a PS5 gaming station, and a fireplace in the reading room.
Library grounds are also home to a restored 19th century historic property known as the Barnes House, an important part of the county’s rich African-American heritage.
Montclair’s community room offers seating for up to 100 people and a large-screen TV for presentations. There are four group study rooms. An individual quiet study room is also available on a first-come, first-served basis.
