For the month of February, we'll be reading The Woman Who Smashed Codes by Fagone! "Joining the ranks of Hidden Figures and In the Garden of Beasts, the incredible true story of the greatest codebreaking duo that ever lived, an American woman and her husband who invented the modern science of cryptology together and used it to confront the evils of their time, solving puzzles that unmasked Nazi spies and helped win World War II."

About the library

Independent Hill Library was the sixth library. With its mid-county location, Independent Hill is a bridge that serves both the eastern and western ends of the county. Nestled inside George Hellwig Park, the library’s pastoral setting includes a pavilion with seating and free Wi-Fi access. 

The library's collection consists of books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers and learning tablets for all ages and interests. Independent Hill offers two public access computers, scanning, copying, and faxing services. There are several comfortable chairs with laptop trays and two study tables with chairs for patron’s convenience. Story times are offered throughout the year.
