Come and visit our community plant swap!

Do you have too many house plants, or are you looking to get more? Are you an avid plant lover, or want to get into starting your own collection? Bring your extra or unwanted seeds, seedlings, cuttings, plants, transplants, and garden supplies to our community plant swap! The Master Gardeners of Prince William County will also be present to talk about anything and all plants! Please be sure that your plants and supplies are pest free before bringing them.

About the library

Haymarket Gainesville Library features a 24-hour book drop, 185-seat community room, four study rooms, a Quiet Study area, 21 public access computers, and a Children’s and Young Adult area. The library has a historic home, The Bushy House, and several comfortable outdoor seating areas on its property.

Haymarket Gainesville Library provides materials for children, young adults, and adults in print and digital formats. In addition, the library also offers special events and programs for all ages, including English Conversation Club, book discussion groups, one-on-one appointments for technology assistance, and U.S. Passport Services.

Several times a year, Haymarket Gainesville Library hosts absentee voting for local, state, and federal elections and is the only branch offering this special service.
