LGBTQ+ Inclusive Emergency First Aid class based around the national Stop the Bleed (StB) program and designed for non-medical professionals to provide assistance in times of crisis. The first portion is about 2 hours and covers evaluating the scene and a casualty. After a short break, the Treating Traumatic Injuries/Stop the Bleed portion will follow with approximately 2 hours of lecture and hands-on skills for stopping life-threatening bleeding. Participants will be able to practice direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Participants will earn a Stop the Bleed certificate. Registration is required.
