Crawl through the tunnel into the dome, and let the 360-degree projector transport you through the cosmos as one of our trained education staff guide your group into an endless starfield, introduce you to the different constellations in the night sky, bring the stories and mythologies surrounding the stars to life right before your eyes, and so much more. Can accommodate groups of 15 at a time.

About the library

Haymarket Gainesville Library features a 24-hour book drop, 185-seat community room, four study rooms, a Quiet Study area, 21 public access computers, and a Children’s and Young Adult area. The library has a historic home, The Bushy House, and several comfortable outdoor seating areas on its property.

Haymarket Gainesville Library provides materials for children, young adults, and adults in print and digital formats. In addition, the library also offers special events and programs for all ages, including English Conversation Club, book discussion groups, one-on-one appointments for technology assistance, and U.S. Passport Services.

Several times a year, Haymarket Gainesville Library hosts absentee voting for local, state, and federal elections and is the only branch offering this special service.
