Do you have a well loved and delicious recipe that you want to share with others? Are you looking for new ideas for your weekly meal planning? Do you have old cookbooks that you don’t use anymore? Come and join us for our first recipe and cookbook swap! Bring your gently used and unwanted cookbooks or individual recipes to share with others. You can either print out your recipe ahead of time or use some of our provided blank recipe cards the day of the event.

About the library

Haymarket Gainesville Library features a 24-hour book drop, 185-seat community room, four study rooms, a Quiet Study area, 21 public access computers, and a Children’s and Young Adult area. The library has a historic home, The Bushy House, and several comfortable outdoor seating areas on its property.

Haymarket Gainesville Library provides materials for children, young adults, and adults in print and digital formats. In addition, the library also offers special events and programs for all ages, including English Conversation Club, book discussion groups, one-on-one appointments for technology assistance, and U.S. Passport Services.

Several times a year, Haymarket Gainesville Library hosts absentee voting for local, state, and federal elections and is the only branch offering this special service.
