Make a tree to commemorate the birth of Johnny Appleseed.

September 26 marks the 247th birthday of John Chapman sometimes known as Johnny Appleseed. Celebrate his legacy and one of fall's favorite fruits by making a paper apple tree using your own hand as a stencil. Pick up a kit at Lake Ridge Library with supplies and instructions. Kits are first come, first served.

About the library

Lake Ridge Library is located on the upper level of the Tackett's Mill Shopping Center and houses an everchanging collection of print, audio and digital materials.

Lake Ridge offers a weekly story time for all ages. The library provides county dog license service as well as three public access computers, scanning, faxing, and copying.
