Let’s enjoy some westerns. All you need is a library card. If you don’t have one, you can apply for a digital library card here.

The Magnificent Seven – NR (1960): Yul Brynner stars as one of seven master gunmen pitted against an army of marauding bandits in this rousing action tale that launched the film careers of Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and James Coburn.

Crossfire Trail – NR (2001): Rafe promises a dying friend to look after his wife and 40,000 acre ranch in Wyoming. A powerful businessman wants the ranch and widow by whatever means necessary.

Bad Day to Go Fishing – NR (2009): A flamboyant impresario and an ageing ex-wrestling champion arrive in a small town, offering a hefty award to the local challenger. In fact, the promoter wants to rinse the spectators for every penny. But is it a good day to go fishing? Spanish, with English subtitles.

Hang ‘Em High – PG13 (1968): Clint Eastwood makes his western movie debut starring in this brazen tale about a rampaging band of vigilantes who make two mistakes: they hang the wrong man and they don't finish the job.
