Submit poetry, short stories, or art in any medium. There will be prizes in each category for middle and high school students and one grand prize winner will be chosen!
Competition Rules:
· Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, technique, presentation, and emotional impact.
· Written works must be submitted by email to childrensservicescp@pwcgov.org or by clicking on the submit button on the online form at www.pwcva.gov/library.
· Artwork must be submitted to Chinn Park Library. Only digital artwork will be accepted electronically.
· Competitors may submit a maximum of two entries.
· Short Stories may be no longer than five pages.
· Prizes will be awarded at Chinn Park Library’s Creative Arts Showcase on Saturday, October 29.
· Participants must be in middle or high school and must be residents of Prince William County or the City of Manassas.
· The deadline for entries is Tuesday, September 13.

Chinn Park Library features a 24-hour book drop, 125-seat Community Room, a Quiet Study Room, two individual study rooms, a group study room with a smart TV, a Children and Young Adult area, and 24 public access computers.
The Management and Government Information Center (MAGIC) is a specialized collection of local, state and federal government information. MAGIC has the same hours of operation as Chinn Park. MAGIC staff are available to assist with local, state and federal government information as well as with its print and digital resources.
