Attention film lovers: Montclair Library is launching its first movie club and we're inviting you to join! Once a month, we select a movie to watch and ask you to join for a discussion.
September 20: Twilight (2008) directed by Catherine Hardwicke. A fantasy, romance film starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Based on Stephenie Meyer's 2005 novel of the same name. The first film in the Twilight Saga movie franchise. High school student Bella Swan moves to the rainy town of Forks, Washington to live with her father where she meets and falls for the mysterious Edward Cullen. When Bella discovers Edward's secret, it's too late for rationality when you fall in love for the first time.
Montclair Library serves a bustling suburban community in eastern Prince William County. With large glass windows and a stone terrace suited for outdoor performances, the LEED-certified building offers inviting spaces for children, young adults, and adults, including 22 public access computers, a PS5 gaming station, and a fireplace in the reading room.
Library grounds are also home to a restored 19th century historic property known as the Barnes House, an important part of the county’s rich African-American heritage.
Montclair’s community room offers seating for up to 100 people and a large-screen TV for presentations. There are four group study rooms. An individual quiet study room is also available on a first-come, first-served basis.
