Join Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom as we read "In the Garden with Dr. Carver" by Susan Grisby.

This historical fiction picture book teaches children about agricultural scientist and inventor Dr. George Washington Carver. In our story, Dr. Carver visits young Sally’s school and teaches them about soil, peanuts, sweet potatoes, and more! After our story time, everyone will have a chance to make a germination necklace to take home and to watch it grow into a plant.
