Are you interested in learning all about the Prince William County composting program? Join us for this presentation from a Freestate Farms representative to learn all about it!

Join us for this informative talk and presentation on the composting program that Prince William County participates in. Richard Riedel, a representative from Freestate Farms, will speak and take questions about this exciting program.

Richard Riedel is the Marketing Director for Freestate Farms, an advanced composting facility in Manassas, VA. As part of their partnership with Prince William County, Freestate Farms designed, financed and built a state-of-the-art facility which increases the amount of recycled materials from 30,000 to 80,000 tons per year, adds the ability to process food waste, and creates a high-quality compost for beneficial use throughout the region.

About the library

Haymarket Gainesville Library features a 24-hour book drop, 185-seat community room, four study rooms, a Quiet Study area, 21 public access computers, and a Children’s and Young Adult area. The library has a historic home, The Bushy House, and several comfortable outdoor seating areas on its property.

Haymarket Gainesville Library provides materials for children, young adults, and adults in print and digital formats. In addition, the library also offers special events and programs for all ages, including English Conversation Club, book discussion groups, one-on-one appointments for technology assistance, and U.S. Passport Services.

Several times a year, Haymarket Gainesville Library hosts absentee voting for local, state, and federal elections and is the only branch offering this special service.
